Our Legacy

A second generation business since 1954

Dr. Milton Hodosh was a Navy veteran who graduated from Brown University and Tufts Dental, with a post-doctoral training in oral surgery, and opened Hodosh Dental Associates in 1954. In 1959 he implemented the first of 11 grants awarded from the National Institute of Health to research dental implants, and created the Harvard University Implant Research program. HIs dedication and research founded the concept of boney capture into the surface of the implant, which is the reason dental implants are so successful to this day. He later discovered the ingredient used in all desensitizing toothpaste. He held over 40 patents, and lectured worldwide, however, he was most proud of his friendships and his responsibility to his patients' health and happiness.
